Postscript: Bill Alexander’s Production, The Other Place, 1983recluded any particular reference to animals. The three clients wore collars and trimmings of black feathers. Music (composed by Guy Woolfenden) was played from the galleries on either side, producing an ‘a(chǎn)ntiphonal’ effect similar to that in St Mark’s basilica, but otherwise the only suggestions of Venice came from the text.
