Pitfalls and Prospects in Genetic Epidemiology of Cancerhan then, his remark that “there is no faster way to dull the edge of the beautiful mathematical tools which we now possess than to attempt to use these tools in inappropriate situations” is pertinent. My experience with some of these pitfalls has been intimate and painful. I describe them in the hope that others may avoid them.
