Remarks on Extremals in Minimal Support Inequalitiesial case. In most such results, including many variations of the Schr?dinger equation above, one can show that extremals exist and are closely related to a Sobolev inequality. We provide a reason for this pattern and show that existence of extremals can be predicted under fairly general conditions.
