Many examples of this type have appeared in the literature, a review of which up to the year 1968 is given by Sheu and Prager [1]. Optimal Design Criteria of Dynamically Loaded Elastic StructuresAt present there are relatively few contributions to the optimal design problem of dynamically loaded elastic structures. In the case of minimum-weight design with harmonically varying external loads two main groups of problems are treated.
