Medical Decision Making — The Patiente prior information, differential within a restricted clinical problem area and automatic interpretation of test results’. There is however another area that engenders considerable difficulty for the Clinician, and this is in applying the results of the diagnostic process to the decision made by the patient as to the treatment to be received.

Teaching Clinical Decision-Making with Computer-Simulated Patientsl students solve clinical problems they can exercise their skill in making decisions. It goes without saying that this teaching method should not interfere with the well-being of our patients. For that reason various simulation-models have been developed. The arrival of the computer has brought us an aid opening whole new vistas for simulation.

Comparison of Several Discrimination Methods. Application to the Acute Abdominal Pain Diagnosision of conditional probabilities) were implemented to improve the results. A comparative study of parametric models (Lancaster, Bahadur) and non-parametric models (K-nearest neighbours) has been handled.

Improved Estimation of Operative Risk After Heart Valve Replacement: Medical Decision-Making Based otly lower or higher average risk. It is important to separate these subgroups of patients in order to be able to define the conditions associated with minimum risk and also to be able to define and to be aware of the conditions leading to high operative risk.
