Calyampudi Radhakrishna Rao FRS (Born: 10 September 1920),sh-ruled India (present-day state of Karnataka). As C. R. Rao was the eighth child of his parents C. D. Naidu and A. Lakshmikanthamma, he was named ‘Radhakrishna’ after the Hindu deity Sri Krishna. C. D. Naidu was an inspector in the ‘Criminal Investigation Department’.
