Physiology and Genetics of , Nodulating Chickpeas (, L.)asmids in 21 of the 22 strains examined. Strain IC-72M showed a different organization of . genes. On the basis of these results, it is concluded that the chickpea rhizobial group is intermediate between classical fast- and slow-growing groups of rhizobia.
