The Use of Biological Nitrogen Fixation to Develop Livestock and Cereal Production in Moroccorass. In drought stress studies, . was only affected by severe drought, resisting drought at lower levels to ensure regeneration. The number of nodules was reduced by drought stress but increased after watering..A number of rhizobial isolates from different regions of Morocco will be screened for drought resistance and competitive ability.

The Role of Mycorrhiza in Improving the Establishment and Function of the ,-Legume System under Fielmes more P per unit of dry matter than the root on which they are formed. Additionally, legumes have a restricted root system compared to graminaceous plants so they are relatively poor foragers for phosphate, a nutrient which diffuses very slowly through the soil solution to the rhizosphere from outside this zone (Munns and Mosse 1980).
