Network-Level Task and the Design of Whole Networks: Is There a Relationship?ve review of the literature on whole networks, we conclude that there is no clear relationship between network-level task and network design. We offer a number of explanations that might account for this finding. Our conclusions help to advance theory and practice on the design of whole networks of organizations.

Underfits Versus Overfits in the Contingency Theory of Organizational Design: Asymmetric Effects of fits. In a managerial design perspective, underfit is liable to occur in growing organizations and to rob them of some of their potential growth. While underfit will lead to an acute condition, overfit will be more chronic.
