Small-scale atmospheric turbulence and its interaction with larger-scale flows,The properties of small-scale atmospheric turbulence and its influence on larger-scale flows are briefly described, with particular reference to the effects of stratification. The questions for which no satisfactory answers are presently available are reviewed.

Homogenization and visco-elasticity of turbulence,ons. This elasticity property is then extended to Navier-Stokes turbulence. It is suggested that two-dimensional flame fronts and various turbulent flows (e.g. solar granulation and cloud streets) may display elasticity. Inclusion of elasticity into engineering turbulence modelling is also discussed.

Numerical simulation of homogeneous turbulence,he imposed strain. For the rotation case, three different effects of the rotation are enhanced by a judicious choice of appropriate initial turbulent (isotropic and anisotropic) or random initial conditions.
