Lessons Learned from Recent Democratization Effortsed a lot of insight into the processes of change, we still do not know enough to be confident that the effects we produce will be intelligent ones. Some lessons from recent experiences and concrete proposals for coping with the problems are discussed in this part of the report.

Coherent peacebuilding demands good time management and the creation of a synergy between peacebuilding efforts in different domains, at different levels and layers of the conflict.

Intellectual Solidarity , Peace and Psychological Wallsive a feeling of safety and protect what one does not want to share. This conference, however, focuses on fences or walls which are generally considered bad and would be better dismantled. The fall of the Berlin Wall allowed the unification of a country, the widening of the European Community and détente within greater Europe.
