The Influence of Crystal Orientation on Fatigue Softening of Predeformed Copperepends markedly on the initial orientation..Subsequent cyclic plastic strain leads to softening in all specimens. It also leads to about the same cell size in all specimens, regardless whether the cell size of the predeformed metal had been smaller or bigger. This shows that there is no simple correlation between cell size and flow stress.
