An approach to digital literacy for adults: the EuNIC proposal NIC, which was developed and widely tested in Italy, has been recently transferred to a European context by the EuNIC project. The main results of this process are reported together with some reflections about strong points and weaknesses of the suggested approach and, more in general, about critical aspects of adult digital literacy actions.

Digital literacy as a challenge for Teacher Educationand performed in courses and educational programs within teacher education are given. Learning environments which can support development of digital literacies are presented with examples from Stockholm Institute of Education/Stockholm University.

Using ICT to Improve the Education of Students with Learning Disabilities of technology in education. This is particularly important in this arena where technology can make a significant difference to educating these students, but only if it is used appropriately. The paper then looks at a case study of use of ICT in a school catering for students with LD.

Adaptation of Impulsive and Reflective Learning Behavior in a Game-Based Environmentistakes in their choices. Since impulsive behavior in learning is considered as rather weak behavior, this research of game-based learning environments wants to encourage impulsive learners and not particularly force a change in learning behavior. This approach is illustrated on the strategy and simulation game “Hortus”.

Exploring Touching Learning Environmentsbut they were not specifically designed for interacting with real objects and context. This paper proposes the concept of Touching Learning Environments as part of the evolution of M-learning and Ubiquitous Computing, enabling touching technologies in mobile devices; this technology is known as Near Field Communication NFC.
