The Influence of Brain Tissue Pressure Upon Local Cerebral Blood Flow in Vasogenic Edemacal cerebral blood flow (CBF) is unknown. The local CBF represents the generating source of the edema seen in this model. Our objective in the present study was to determine the temporal response of local white matter CBF to vasogenic edema and correlate these changes with parallel studies of local white matter BTP.

Differences in the Behavior of Afferent Vessels in Autoregulation to Increased Intracranial Pressure capacity. Both decrease the transmural pressure across the cerebral resistance vessels, and it has seemed reasonable to assume a probable identity of mechanisms for autoregulation in the two circumstances, at any rate as far as the intracranial vessels have been concerned.

Changes of the Sympathetic Vasomotor Activity During Increased Intracranial Pressurewaves during increases in intracranial pressure (ICP), the precise mechanisms remain unclear. Therefore, in the present study the direct observation of the sympathetic vasomotor activity during increases in ICP was attempted by measuring the efferent discharge from the renal nerve of the cat.

ICP, CVR and Cerebral Metabolism Following Experimental Cerebral Missile Injurynd recorded vital signs, cerebrovascular changes, and cerebral metabolism. Besides the conventional form of analysis of the data, we have used a multiple regression type of analysis in an attempt to predict accurately the survival time of each animal.
