Hypercalcemia Due to Malignancy-Related Production of 1,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D,roxyvitamin D is a poor prognostic indicator and often less responsive to traditional treatments for hypercalcemia such as bisphosphonates, making identification of this etiology of hypercalcemia essential to patient care.
