Variation of Continental Mantle Heat Flow with Age: Possibility of Discriminating Between Thermal Mo= 500 (1/ .) for the variation of oceanic heat flow . (in mW/M.) with age . (in million years) provides a reasonably good fit to the mantle heat flow data. The constant thickness plate model however, is found to be unsatisfactory in explaining the variation of continental mantle heat flow with age.

Equity in the Civil Law Traditionone between crustal thickness and heat flow. A general conclusion could be drawn that the heat flow distribution over the Romanian territory seems to be governed by processes taking place in the upper mantle, rather than by the radioactive decay within the crust.
