Cardiovascular disease results from complicationsof a silent and chronic arterial disease: atherosclerosis. Thechallenge for the practitioner is adapting diagnostic and therapeuticresponses to prevent this common and complex disease. .Dyslipidemia, are disorders of the metabolism of soluble transportersof lipids in extracellular spaces of the human body (including blood),called lipoproteins. They are major cardiovascular risk factors, causally related with atherosclerosis and are themselvesmultifactorial diseases, resulting from interactions between geneticand environmental factors. .The study of genetic factors has recently taken a new path with thestudy of DNA as an experimental object. More than fifty genes oflipoprotein metabolism have been identified in both theirphysiological actions and their contribution to the pathogenesis ofhuman dyslipidemia. The diversity of observations has refined ourcurrent knowledge of the control of lipid metabolism and energyhomeostasis in living organisms beyond the limits of thecardiovascular system (e.g., brain, immune system, and development). These studies have giv | 出版日期 | Book 2001 | 關(guān)鍵詞 | Allele; DNA; Lipid; biosynthesis; cardiovascular; cells; enzymes; gene therapy; genes; genetics; metabolism; pr | 版次 | 1 | doi | https://doi.org/10.1007/978-1-4615-1517-3 | isbn_softcover | 978-1-4613-5593-9 | isbn_ebook | 978-1-4615-1517-3Series ISSN 1566-0753 | issn_series | 1566-0753 | copyright | Springer Science+Business Media New York 2001 |
