Microbial Diversity in the Sediments Collected from Cold-Seep Areas and from Different Depths of thecharacteristics of the deep-sea as a habitat for organisms are relatively low input of organic carbon and its consumption. The availability of nutrients, being geographically highly variable, and the elevated pressures characterized the deep sea sediments as potentially unique bacterial environments.

Future Scope. The underlying mechanisms of adaptation and response of the microbes to extreme conditions originate from interactions of the microbes with the surrounding environments, particularly deep-sea water. Research on the water structure of extreme conditions in the deep-sea is important to understand the adaptation mechanism of the extremophiles.
