Pulse Radiolytic Redox and Alkylation Studies on C60ding experiments in aqueous solutions have been carried out by incorporating C. into artificial bilayer membranes and larger organic molecules. Several absolute rate constants for the radical induced reactions have been determined.

Christin Emrich,Wilhelm Hummeltenbergllerene physics and chemistry in preparative scale. Using the experiences at the Kr?tschmer apparatus we developed an equipment for fullerene production with a great variability of preparation conditions. At this equipment we can study the influence of preparation conditions on the yield and the preparation of higher and endohedral fullerenes.

Photoionization Dynamics of C60ompared with other recent reports focusing on the ionization and fragmentation behaviour of C. as a result of certain energy transfer processes to the cluster. The actual ionization mechanism, the temperature dependence on the ion yield curve and the fragmentation behaviour of ionic C. are discussed.

Electron Energy-Loss Spectroscopy of Free Fullerenesed transitions could be distinguished from optically forbidden ones and from collective excitations. The collective excitation lines of C. could be assigned to dipole and monopole excitations. The EEL-spectra of C. exhibited a splitting of the plasmon excitation which is attributed to the non-sperical shape of the C. molecule.
