Bacteria as Biocontrol Agents of Insects,beneficial insects. These undesired side effects warrant a search for an alternative, environmentally favourable control agent. Although biological control methods have been known for several decades, they did not gain much attention until the development of insect resistance to chemical pesticides was recognized.
