Mast Cells in Angiogenesis: The Role of Angiogenic Cytokinesetin-1 (Ang-1). In this context, mast cells might act as a new target for the adjuvant treatment of tumors through the elective inhibition of angiogenesis. Preclinical studies in experimental models using anti-cKit antibodies, or the mast cell stabilizer disodium cromoglycate have shown promising results.
