Atomic Processes Relevant to Energy Balance and Impurity Control in Fusion Reactors,General principles of magnetic fusion confinement and a general survey of Atomic and Molecular problems relevant to CTR have been discussed in lectures by Hogan and Harrison. In these three lectures I will discuss primarily atomic physics relevant to energy balance and impurity control in fusion reactors.

Wall Processes and Impurity Production Due to Hydrogen Species,As the easily accessible energy resources of our planet decline and their drain is already within sight, the exploitation of new methods to generate energy at high temperatures is urgently needed. Fusion offers a great potential as such an energy source with nearly inexhaustible fuel resources.
