Human Machine Interface Using Media Conversion and Model-Based Coding Schemeshe surface model is constructed by texture mapping with real image. All of the motions and expressions are synthesized and controlled automatically by the movement of some feature points on the model. This is the one of the applications of model based image coding and media conversion schemes.

A Real-Time Visual Interactive System Between Finger Signs and Synthesized Human Facial Images Emplom suitable for real-time image recognition and synthesis which are core functions to realize the visual software robot. The image synthesis speed of the TN-V/T is about 10 frames per second including finger sign recognition process. Some samples of synthesized images and experimental results are shown.

Synthetic Fireworksic motion of shell accounts for its air friction. The segmented stars are modeled by the particle systems. To render fireworks, we assume that the particles are light emitters. The motion blur of particles are accomplished by creating streaking lines. A particle dies when the temperature of each particle becomes below a threshold temperature.
