Fast Intra-frame Prediction Transform for Luminance Using Decision Trees,asses two solutions based on machine learning to avoid the MTS and LFNST evaluations in the costly Rate-Distortion Optimization (RDO) process. Experimental results showed that the proposed scheme provides an average encoding time reduction of 11% with a negligible impact on coding efficiency.

Heuristic-Based Fast Block Partitioning Scheme for Chrominance,This scheme is composed of two heuristics to avoid some block evaluations in the costly Rate-Distortion Optimization (RDO) process. It includes chrominance splitting early termination based on luminance block partitioning structure and fast chrominance split decision based on the sub-block variances
