Potentials and Requirements of an Electronic Nose for Use as a Vapor-Based Detector of Explosive Paemploying a group of dogs) artificial olfaction with an Electronic Nose (EN) may present an interesting alternative. An EN can be applied 24h per day, has lower investment and operational costs and the spectrum of detectable gases is broader. However, the dog’s nose is known to show an extreme sensitivity and gas discrimination power.

Special attention to means and methods of explosive detection, especially to the vapors and traces, is given for the reason, that the last are unique direct attributes of the presence of explosives at suspicious objects.

Remote Explosive Scent Tracing, contain mines, and requires that the dogs are trained to detect very low concentrations of target odour. Testing of the filters by the detector is undertaken in a laboratory environment, and involves a number of internal controls to ensure reliability.

Michael Krausahe development of his conceptualization of masochism and its practical repercussions. The value of such critique and development of theory is recognized, but the accuracy of Freud’s portrait of masochism is upheld.
