Microweighing in Vacuo with the Aid of Vibrations of a Thin Band,rations was measured by an arrangement similar to a capacitance microphone. By varying the frequency of excitation, the resonance curve could be traced. Without load the peak of the curve was found to be at 1100 Hz, whereas, with a load of 0.2 mg, the peak shifted to 1000 Hz.

Determination of the Diffusion Coefficient of Vapors by Means of a Microbalance,er are weighed as a whole..Variations in apparent weight may occur due to variations in the room temperature and to electrical charges. Small variations in temperature of the evaporating liquid have a very strong influence, especially at higher evaporation rates..The diffusion coefficient of water vapor in air is determined at 323, 333, and 343 K.

UHV Microbalance and Quartz Oscillator at Low Temperatures,g quartz, agree to within 2%. In a separate experimental setup the measurements of the Rb atom beam intensities with a calibrated Pt-ionization foil and with the quartz oscillator at 81 K agree also to within 2%.
