Immobilization of Cell Cycle Specific Drug DFMO for Chemotherapy. However, the very short halflife of the enzyme requires a continuous delivery system for DFMO. We have immobilized DFMO in alginate, a natural polymer, to obtain sustained release and have tested its efficiency on cultured myeloma cells.
