Effects of Traffic Management and Transport Mode on the Exposure of Schoolchildren to Carbon Monoxi home and school location, and their activity profiles, to simulate frequency distributions of exposure for different transport modes and traffic management scenarios. The results show a large variability in the effect of traffic management interventions, depending on the child’s home and school location.

Spatial and Temporal Variation of Ozone Concentrations at High Altitude Monitoring Sites in Germanyectories. Further, reasons for the spatial and temporal variation of ozone concentration levels will be shown. Investigating numerous cases a similar origin of air masses causing high ozone concentrations in Germany and uniform patterns at various sites could be identified.

Using Measurements of Nitrogen Oxides to Estimate the Emission Controls Required to Meet the UK Nit the empirical ratio NO.:NO. (the ‘yield’) gives an indication of the sensitivity of the NO. to NO. controls and the amount of NO. that would arise from modelled values of total oxides of nitrogen. The response of NO. to emission changes is very non-linear, implying 30–45% controls on NO. may be required.

The streakers sampling period includes two days during which the Municipality of Florence has banned the circulation of non-catalytic cars, due to the increase of NO. above the “recommended safety values”. We present here the first obtained results for the sampling site located near a heavy traffic road.

Modelling of Motor Vehicle Fuel Consumption and Emissions Using a Power-Based Model,l consumption well over the standard drive cycles and also for the floating car. Average exhaust emissions were also well predicted, but, as would be expected, vehicle-to-vehicle correlation is impossible due to the well-known high variability of emissions between nominally identical vehicles.
