Hadron Nucleus Collisions in the Collective Tube ModelHigh energy particle production data measured with nuclear targets exhibit several outstanding features. These features appear to contradict the naive picture in which the projectile is assumed to propagate “on mass shell” through the nuclear medium by a succession of collisions with single nucleons in the target.
