Flow and Recovery Mechanisms in Tight Oil and Gas Reservoirs,Because of the presence of nano/micro-scale pores and natural/hydraulic fractures, tight oil and gas reservoirs are characterized with multiple scale and multiple media. There is a large difference for flow regimes, multiphase flow mechanisms and oil displacement mechanisms in the pore-fracture media at different scales

Coupled Multiphase Flow-Geomechanics Simulation for Multiple Media with Different-Size Pores and NaDuring the processes of fracturing, injection, and production of unconventional tight reservoirs, significant changes in effective stress are caused by a large range of pore pressure changes, resulting in deformation of multiple media such as matrix pores, natural fractures, and hydraulic fractures at different scales.
