Compact HII RegionsThis paper reviews recent developments in the study of compact HII regions, particularly from the radio observational point of view. These include the association of HII regions with molecular clouds and maser sources, HII and CII regions and infrared sources in dark clouds, and aperture synthesis observations of radio recombination lines.
