Galaxy Surveys in the Era of Large Ground-Based Observatorieser space that has not been explored extensively yet. I conclude that these GTC galaxy surveys can be indeed highly competitive despite the late arrival of the GTC to the exclusive club of large ground-based observatories, but only if a substantial amount of observing time and resources are allocated for such surveys.
