Simplified Theory, Time-Domain Picture, to other antennae further downsream to correct the barycentre errors. Stochastic cooling works by correcting barycentre errors over many turns in the ring. High system bandwidths correspond to short samples, large statistical barycentre errors, and therefore fast cooling.
