In the Beginning: Time and the Figurative Forms of Creation, birth of the gods (Pritchard 31). The problem is solved in the Old Testament by hearing the story from Yahweh himself, who inscribes the stories of beginning on tablets of stone (Exodus 31:18). Allah dictates to Muhammad the story of beginnings.
