Formation, Degradation, and Mapping,ur compiled NDSI map, 26.1% of the dried seabed in Kazakhstan part was covered by extremely saline and 13.5% was strongly saline soils. Furthermore, our study and mapping results and comprehensive analysis show that the dried seabed in Kazakhstan part was degradated by 87.5% in significant degree and temperate degradation was 12%.

Origin of the Aralkum Desert (Dried Aral Seabed), The desert is considered as a potential source of storms with salt, dust, and sand particles. The highest amount of dust transport was observed at Uialy, Zhusaly, and Kyzylorda weather stations, from 1143 tons km.?year. to 2684 tons km.?year., respectively.
