Dynamic Methods,oftware failure times to forecast future software failure/reliability behavior. Obviously in theory, these models can be used to estimate the number of software defects as long as the observed software failure data suffice the model parameter estimation schemes to work. Dynamic methods mean that the ‘dynamic’ information of failure times are used.

Empirical Regression Methods,Software defect factors are those that affect the generation, detection and removal of software defects; or in short, the number of software defects. The nature of software defect factors may vary from one application to another. However in general five questions can be asked:

Software Defect Estimations Under Imperfect Debugging,failure causing defect is not removed is interpreted as that the defect is removed from and then reintroduced into the software, then imperfect debugging means defect introduction in the software defect removal process. According to Shooman [16, p341], imperfect debugging may happen in one of at least three ways:
