These identities are topical, and may even be familiar to readers, but the author’s analysis of them challenges why they exist, what function these identities serve at work, and who is able to deploy and inscribe them as part of the games people play at work..

The Marketization of the Higher Education Workplace in the UK,n and marketingization (Nedbalová et al. 2014) as they come to apply to HE. Whilst I do not wish to suggest here that all major change underway at the moment in HE is directly attributable to marketization, it is interesting nonetheless to explore connections to marketing practice and market logic.
