Two Flow Heat Exchanger with a One-Phase Compressible Working Medium FlowDuring unsteady processes, whenever the working medium is compressible, the heat and mass are accumulated simultaneously in the heat exchanger. The mass flows are also heat carriers. Therefore their mass, momentum and energy balances (together with the heat balance of the wall) determine the transient behaviour of the heat exchanger.
