Crack Susceptibility of Binary Aluminum Alloys: Analytical Equations steepened, or the solidus line made shallower. Second, back diffusion tends to increase (.). and decrease | . | .. These tendencies agreed with the two equations and with the reported crack susceptibility of Al-Si and Al-Mg alloy systems.

Real-Time Radiography and Modeling of Porosity Formation in an A356 Aluminum Alloy Wedge Castingntinually increases until the casting is fully solidified. The maximum porosity percentage is measured in the thermal center of the wedge. A computational model is proposed to predict the evolution of the porosity in the aluminum casting.

Quality Assessment of A356 Ingots from Different Suppliers in Wheel Productiontest was used to quantify melt quality by means of bifilm index measurement. In addition, fluidity, feedability and tensile tests have been carried out. The rejection rates were compared according to provider’s quality level.

The Reliability of Ductile Casting Iron Dependent on Runner System Design: An Example of Support Braumerical software to design a good runner system. A good and reliable casting is controlled by a good runner system design. Weibull probability parameters are plotted to suggest this good runner system.

Methods of Reducing Materials’ Waste and Saving Energy in Investment Castingring, preheat and heat treatment processes in one go, type of furnace, and finally accurate control of casting procedure can save energy and improves yield. The idea of using lean practices for improving the process steps is also discussed.
