Integrating Human Behavior Factors into Design, fall into the third listed category (behaviors that increase or reduce harm). However, human behaviors such as occupant firefighting or leaving doors open/closed that are associated with the second category can be critical and consequential to the evacuation/refuge process and should not be ignored.
