Textbook 2022nals and systems books on the market. Since most undergraduate courses begin with signals and systems and then move on in later years to DSP, I felt a need to combine the two into one book that was concise yet not too overburdening. This means that students need only purchase one book instead of two

Following this, the basic signal types are described which are commonly met in the real world, and their mathematical descriptions and properties given.

FIR Wiener Filters Using Lower Triangular Toeplitz Matrices, solution of Diophantine equations when the additive noise is coloured. The lower triangular Toeplitz (LTT) method is ideally suited to this sort of problem because polynomials or transfer functions can be substituted with LTT matrices. This greatly simplifies the computation of the solution.
