Micronutrients and Depression: Is There Any Association?onal deficiencies or excess of certain nutrients and depression has been recognised in some intervention studies that demonstrated the pathophysiological mechanisms of various dietary elements contributing to depression. Nutritional advice should be incorporated as an integral part of the management of a person with depression.
