The Seam Tracking System for Submerged Arc Welding, vision was mainly researched when the environmental light was changed. Intelligent control system for seam tracking has been realized by using a self-modulated fuzzy control set. The system was tested on the producing of spiral submerged arc welded pipe for outside-welding and the primary results were obtained.
