The Cornell Robocup Teamo electro-mechanical innovations (omnidirectional drive and a dribbling mechanism) and the control strategies that rendered them effective. As opposed to last years “role-based” strategy, a “play- based” strategy wasimplemented, which allowed us to make full use of the robot capabilities for cooperative control.

Extended Q-Learning: Reinforcement Learning Using Self-Organized State Spacection-value function is represented by the summation of weighted base functions, and an autonomous robot adjusts weights of base functions at learning stage. Other parameters (center coordinates, variance and so on) are adjusted at unification stage where two similar functions are unified to a simpler function.
