Estimation of environmental partitioning of organic chemicals in model ecosystems,entration levels it will reach in various compartments of the environment and whether or not those concentrations are toxic to biological species present. It is, therefore, important to determine expected environmental distribution patterns of chemicals in order to identify which compartment(s) will be of primary environmental concern.

Measurement of pesticide vapor pressures,ous temperatures are necessary to estimate vapor losses of chemicals from surface deposits and to calculate their partitioning between soil, water, and air for predicting volatility from water or from wet soils and to calculate atmospheric residence times of chemicals in droplets and aerosols.

The disposition of pesticides in higher plants,981), bound and conjugated residues (Kaufman .. 1976), . methods (Paulson .. 1979), and analytical methods (Harvey and Zweig 1980, Das 1981). We wish to review in this report recent developments which impact on residue analysis in plants. Accordingly, we will emphasize the literature which has evolved over the last five years.
