Materials Constraints in the High Temperature Industrial Technologies,ed combined cycle applications, and in direct coal-fired gas turbines, and also excludes gasification systems, and M.H.D.. The requirements of materials relevant to their exposure to steam, such as in power generation systems, are dealt with in section 4.1.2.

Materials Production, of those used for other materials. This section on fabrication is derived largely from the technology of superalloy component manufacture. Much of the technology is transferrable to other materials and it seems likely that over the next decade much R and D in industry will be devoted to doing just
