Effects of Ethylene on the Development of Legume Seedlings,velopment in numerous ways. The reason for the hesitation was that ethylene is unique among endogenous growth regulators in being a vapor at physiological temperatures. Thus the metabolism, transport and action of ethylene possess features and involve problems not commonly encountered in hormone biochemistry and physiology.
