The Headscarf Ban Policy in Its Political, Social, and Educational Context,luding the challenges policymakers face in Turkey. Later, the chapter provides a historical background about the higher education headscarf ban policy and discusses some of the issues emerging from its existence. I conclude the chapter by presenting the conceptual framework I used in the study.

Discussion and Reflections,rst dropped out of university as a result of the headscarf ban but later returned to complete their studies were also included. This diversity added to the strength of the sample and the power and usefulness of the findings.
