Platelet-Rich Plasma,ls of PRP therapy for osteoarthritis and chronic tendinopathy thus far have yielded often contradictory results. Therefore, efforts are underway to define both PRP composition and the underlying pathophysiology of specific disease processes, in order to elucidate the biological targets of PRP therapy and ultimately to improve clinical outcomes.

In this chapter, we review the most common musculoskeletal shoulder pathologies, current standard of care treatments, and the regenerative therapies currently being studied in the treatment of each respective pathology.

,Regenerative Medicine for Hand and Wrist?Pain,ne techniques present another nonsurgical treatment options for hand and wrist injuries refractory to conservative treatment. Although there is limited scientific evidence of stem cells, PRP, or prolotherapy for wrist and hand injuries, we know from studies on other MSK areas that they are safe and potentially beneficial.
