Tetraploid Red Clover,esent, many tetraploid cultivars have been produced. Plant breeders of other countries, no doubt impressed with the Swedish results, have developed tetraploid cultivars that exceed diploid counterparts in many respects. The successes of the Swedish program was documented by Sjodin and Ellerstrom (1986).
